No maker. A photograph of this pattern dagger appears on page 243 of World of Dress Daggers 1900-1945 by Robert J. Berger. Cast, one-piece nickel-plated hilt fittings show age patina to pommel and crossguard, with a small split on the outer edge of the pommel and several depressions to the left and right grip straps. Crossguard quillons are flared upward with the cast Slovak crest on the obverse and reverse of the upper portion of the crossguard. Two-piece black bakelite grip plates show light surface wear with no cracks, chipping, or scuffing. Plain plated double-edged, diamond cross-section blade grades VG+, showing surface wear/age darkening with nicks to both cutting edges. Dent-free, nickel-plated steel scabbard with upper, center, and lower fittings shows light age patina to the stippled background. The upper angular suspension ring is missing. EX
