Description
SEAM (Spanish Society of Arms and Munitions) 1936/8 TM. It is a company based in Eibar in the 1920s that produced firearms, knives, and bayonets. This particular knife is a very rare find. The nickel plated hilt shows age/wear with some plate lifting/speckling. The checkered grip plates are secured with 2 rivets and have no damage. The Spanish diamond insert has 5 arrows facing up with a ribbon running through them and some of the paint has lifted on the background. The blade has some graying/speckling, has not been sharpened and has the motto “Arriba Espana” which is barely visible which means “Up with Spain” or “Rise, Spain”. The scabbard is the same as with the Hitler Youth knives except the leather strap is a wider/thicker black strap. The black paint retains 99.9% of its paint and the only piece that looks worn is the leather buckle.
