Description
Original Eickhorn Solingen with squirrel holding sword TM. Damascus blade with triple black backround and gold etching. The obverse is etched with oak leaves and inscription “Chrenhirschfanger der Deutschen Jagerschaft”; the reverse is a hunter scene with dogs attacking a wild boar; and the spine has laurel leaf and is marked “Echt Damast”. There are no chips or nicks to the cutting edge. Complete with buffer pad. The gilted D-shaped guard is done with oak leaves and ends in a deer hoof. The gilted ferrule has an engraved squirrel on the front and a deer on the reverse. The white grip shows wear but no chips or cracks and has 3 sets of acorns on both sides. The clam shell depicts a buck with a swastika nestled between his antlers. The scabbard is black leather which shows normal age/wear but no nicks or scratches. The scabbard fittings are brass and dent free and the lower scabbard fitting is done in the oak leaves and acorns. Missing the skinning knife.
