Description
Carl Eickhorn etched squirrel holding sword and TENO pattern eagle with “GES. GESCH.” double maker marked. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show surface wear and some lifting with minor areas of plating loss to crossguard and pommel. White celluloid grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips and no damage to the retaining screws. Polished blade grades EX++ showing faint surface wear/runner marks, but no nicks to cutting edge. Blade is complete with black leather blade buffer pad while the obverse side is etched with the TENO serial number “4463”. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of original black factory enamel which shows a few scratches and paint chips. Upper and lower nickel-plated scabbard fittings show only light surface wear to the original brushed finish, with no dents, depressions, or damage. Scabbard throat is stamped with the matching serial number, “4463” and scabbard screws are undamaged.
