Description
This transitional SA dagger is by RZM 7/66. The blade has the acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “RZM M7/66” maker marks; both are dark and crisp. The tip has a perfectly sharp point, shows common runner marks, light graying/speckling, and rates EXC+/EXC++. The steel based brown enamel painted scabbard retains 95% of its original paint and has a few very tiny indentations in the enamel. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings have minor scratches/dings and the tip of the ball has some indentations. All four dome head screws remain intact. The nickel-silver plated crossguards are in good shape with the reverse side of the lower crossguard stamped with the letters “Mi” for Mitte. The brown wood grained grip is in EXC++ condition with one very light scratch and one indentation on the obverse side of the grip as shown in the attached photos. The eagle is perfectly inset and the roundel is slightly raised on the upper area but retains 100% of its enamel. The brown leather hanger is in EXC++ condition, the hanger clip has the OLC in a diamond logo in addition to the RZM M5/71 stamped on the reverse side and the spring is tight and works properly.
