WKC, knight’s helmet TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show light wear/age patina to the oak leaf embellished pommel and 1st pattern WKC crossguard with hand-work to the eagle’s eye, beak, chest feathering, and wreath. Medium orange grip shows minor surface wear with no nicks or cracks. Polished blade grades EX++ showing minor surface wear/runner marks with no pitting or nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with tan leather blade buffer pad. Obverse blade is personalized with the name, “Dr. Hesemann” in lightly etched black letters. Silver-plated steel scabbard, with one tiny depression to the reverse shell, is covered in gray age patina matching the hilt fittings and features the post-1937 pattern single side-mounted scabbard throat retention screw. Dagger is complete w/original 42cm portepee showing age/wear and fraying to cord where it has rubbed against the crossguard. Nice WKC example that could probably be researched. EX+/EX++
