Unissued Army EM Belt Buckle

This superb belt buckle appears to have never been attached to a belt. Unmarked, pebbled lightweight metal buckle retains virtually 100% of the frosted aluminum finish showing only minor wear to the highlights of the “Gott mit Uns”/oak leaf wreath and Wehrmacht eagle which is attached to the buckle face by four metal tabs. An illustration of this pattern buckle appears on page 14, upper left of German Belt Buckles by Thomas Reid. Unissued example that is much less common than the stamped pattern buckles.
