Description
The Luftwaffe fighting knife was typically carried by Luftwaffe ground personnel and paratroopers as a utility and close-combat weapon. The blade features a “5” which is a Waffenamt acceptance stamp on reverse side of blade near the guard. The knife has wooden handle slabs secured by three rivets and has a metal crossguard. The blade retains it point, has some graying throughout, and no nicks or chips to the cutting edge. The black painted scabbard retains 80-85% of its paint and the reverse side boot clips is missing an end piece on one of the clips.
