Description
E. F. Hörster-Solingen TM under clamshell. The triple etched blade is 13 inches long, has some minor graying/speckling, one minor nick to the cutting edge, and the tip of the blade remains in a point. The obverse features a hunter holding a shotgun, a wild boar and hunting dogs, the reverse has a hunter holding a shotgun with a stag and deer jumping a tree log. The spine is etched with laurel leaves. It has the original green felt buffer is in place. The stag horn grip is dark brown and cream toned, has the patinaed hilt fittings which consist of the silver metal pommel with a peening top (which keeps the tang in place), the upper and lower ferrules decorated with a pattern of lines, and the scalloped clamshell and deer hoof quillon guard. The grip has the hunting insignia insert featuring the elk with swastika and sunburst. The scabbard has dent free scalloped silver steel fittings with dark patina and the forestry dark green pebbled leather body with minor indentations in the upper section. It is complete with the “V” notch brown leather hanger with shows age/wear but all stitching remains in perfect condition.
