Description
This dagger has a post 1941 maker marked on reverse side of blade with a squirrel and Original-Carl Eickhorn-Solingen TM. The blade is double-etched with a naval motif, has a few tiny gray speckles on the obverse side, a few tiny nicks to the cutting edge and the tip of the blade remains in a point. It is complete with the brass buffer pad. The grip is ivory with some hairline cracks due to age and the wire is tightly woven around the grip. The pommel is detailed with the old reed and cattail pattern. The crossguard is the standard Imperial type. The scabbard has the lightning bolt pattern and is slightly dented near the bottom area of the lightning bolts. The scabbard bands are complete with the o-rings and the 2 scabbard throat screws. Complete with a silver portepee and Navy hangers. Comes in a wooden/glass handmade case specially designed to hold this dagger and is included with the set.
