Description
WK & C trademark. This beautiful dagger was purchased from the family of the original owner, Gross-Admiral Koster. Beautiful open crown pommel is perfect and shows no damage. Ivory grip is lovely and delicate with a double wire wrap and has one chip on the top near the pommel. Crossguard is perfect, retaining much of its original gilding. The dent free scabbard is ornate and is identical to the one found on page 64 of “Collecting the Edged Weapons of Imperial Germany”. Blade is marked on the obverse with crossed swords and “G.B.&S.”. “Maiden hair” damascus blade shows some minor graying but is still beautiful. Red felt blade buffer pad is intact.
