No maker, which is correct for a ‘36 chained SS dagger. This is the SS dagger the vast majority of Third Reich dagger collectors would like to have in their collections, but very few do, due to the difficulty in finding. Nice black ebony grip with perfect fittings, inserts, and no chips. Internal crossguards are deeply stamped “P” and “A” (Piel and Adey casters in Solingen). The beautiful blade will grade EX++/NM with minor runner marks to obverse/reverse sides of blade and tip of blade remains intact. Original black lacquered scabbard retaining 99% of original paint. The grip hilt fittings are nickel/silver and in mint condition. Chain links show the very desirable dark burnishing on all of the links and bears the SS runes stamping. The upper and lower scabbard fittings are in mint condition and the ball of the lower fitting remains intact with no damage. EX++/Near Mint
