Natural finished aluminum hilt fittings show light surface wear with factory darkening remaining in the recesses of the well detailed pommel with hand-enhancing to the outer oak leaf motif and crossguard with raised oak leaf motif on the upper surfaces of the quillons. Light yellow, solid celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips, with darker age toning on the obverse and complete with tight twisted wire wrap. Plated blade grades EX+ showing surface wear/runner marks, minor gray shadowing and several tiny nicks to the lower cutting edges. Reverse blade is stamped with a Waffen-Amt stylized eagle and the number “5”, and is complete with a light brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free, steel scabbard shows minor wear to the airplane gray factory finish with scabbard throat retained by two headless, side mounted screws. EX+/EX++ .
