Description
Maker marked by rare maker C. Gustav Spitzer-Solingen circling a lion. The blade has minor runner marks with no chips to cutting edge and tip of blade remains in a point. The original buffer pad remains intact. The hilt set show age/wear but in EXC++ condition. The steel based airplane grey plated scabbard looks great and is dent free. The scabbard screws are in place. The patinaed eagle crossguard is beautifully detailed with top portion having the embossed acorns and oak leaves. The steel ferrule and pommel are also both nicely detailed. The grip is chip and crack-free with double twist brass wire wrap.
