Description
Paul Weyersberg & Co maker marked. Nickel-plated pommel shows surface wear with some speckling to the pommel. The crossguard shows minor scratch marks but remains mainly intact with detail of the wings on the stylized RLB eagle crossguard. Black wooden grip is in MINT condition, and complete with 2nd pattern RLB starburst insignia properly pinned to the obverse grip. Starburst shows minor wear with some tiny “pecks” to the black enamel of the swastika. Blade grades EX++, showing some runner marks and minor speckling to both obverse and reverse sides of blade but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges and no damage to the blade tip. The blade is complete with black leather buffer pad. Dent-free steel scabbard retains virtually 85% of the original black enamel, showing light scratches to the obverse/reverse sides of shell with several spots of missing paint on the obverse side of shell. Dent-free lower fitting shows minor wear, but no lifting and it is missing one retaining screw.
