Although there is no trademark on the blade ricasso, this is, obviously, a Carl Julius Krebs Model 4 creation (see page 107 of the John Angolia Swords of Germany 1900-1945 reference book). Direct veteran family purchase. Extremely nice sword with no major flaws. EX++
