Description
The display case includes a WKC Personalized Army Dagger with a blade that is very bright, has minor speckling, and very minor runner marks. The reverse of the blade is etched with the WKC Solingen knight’s helmet maker mark. The dark orange grip has no cracks or chips. The hilt fittings have a dark patina with some minor plate lifting to the edges of the pommel and crossguard. The reverse side of the crossguard is personalized “Erwin Lohstrater”. The scabbard is straight, has a nice pebbling effect, has the two bands exhibiting the oakleaves design with dagger suspension rings attached, is undamaged and has the same patina as the hilt fittings. The portepee is in MINT condition with a tied strap. The miniature Army dagger is maker marked E. & F. HORSTER Solingen and measures 7.5” in length. The blade has some speckling, with an unsharpened edge, and the tip of the blade remains intact. The dark orange grip has no cracks or chips. The hilt fittings have a dark patina. The scabbard is straight, with a nice pebbling effect, and the two bands exhibit the traditional oakleaves design with suspension rings attached. Includes a miniature portepee. The deluxe Army hangers have leather tabs. The back connector, buckles, bands, and clips are all constructed with a molded zinc-alloy base and depict oak leaves and acorns throughout. The clips remain in well working condition. All these components are held together with two straps. The reverse straps are green felt material, and the obverse is a patterned silver fabric. The straps are in MINT condition with no fraying or missing stitching. The leather tabs are stitched to the fabric.
