Description
Early model SA by J. A. Henckels, Zwillingswerk, Solingen trademark. It rates 8 out of 10 for rarity on McSaars SA rarity list. Nickel Silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Dark Brown grip shows normal age/wear with a ding on the reverse side and a couple minor edging imperfections on both sides (one on lower obverse side and one on the upper reverse side). Nickel silver crossguards with lower crossguard marked on reverse side with “Wf” for Westfalen. Blade grades Exc+ showing some speckling throughout both sides of blade and with deeply etched motto. There are a few minor nicks to the cutting edge. Anozide scabbard is dent free and missing the majority of the paint. The nickel silver scabbard fitting show normal age/wear with a few minor scratches but no dings. Lower scabbard fitting ball has no dents. All screws intact. The hanger is black and in EXC++ condition with the clip marked with “DRGM”. EXC+/EXC++
