Description

Carl Eickhorn, small double oval TM.  This sword is similar in design to an Imperial Bavarian Court Degen and features lion head pommel, flat knuckle-bow with geometric designs, straight crossguard with lion head quillon and large clamshell with coat of arms of Honduras inside border inscribed, “Eschula Militar Honduras”.  Fittings retain 100% of the factory fire gilting.  White fluted grip plates are perfect with no cracks, chips, or damage.  Attached to the hilt is the original cardboard factory tag marked in ink, “1885”.  Straight, plated, single fullered, double-etched blade grades MINT, is stamped with the matching number, “1885” and complete with white felt blade buffer pad.  Obverse blade features an etch panel with floral motif surrounding the name, “Gral. Francisco Morazan”, while the reverse blade features only a floral etch motif.  Black leather covered scabbard grades MINT and is complete with gilt upper and lower fittings with raised floral motif on both obverse and reverse.  Upper fitting is complete with a bayonet type suspension lug.  MINT
