PAUL WEYERSBERG, SOLINGEN sword within wreath double-oval TM. Hilt fittings show light wear with most of the factory darkening remaining to the well-detailed pommel with hand-enhancing to the outer oak leaf motif and crossguard with oak leaf motif on the upper surfaces of the quillons. Beautiful white celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight twisted wire wrap along with tied portepee which grades EX++/Near MINT. Plated blade grades EXC+/EXC++ showing light surface wear/runner marks and a few spots of very minor speckling. Reverse blade is stamped with a Waffen-Amt stylized eagle and the number “5” and is complete with buffer pad. Dent-free steel guilded scabbard shows graying to finish with scabbard throat retaining two headless screw. Dagger is complete with deluxe set of hangers showing light wear to fabric straps, but no fraying and no damage. The buckles, slides, and snap clips which have the detailed oak leaf motifs are toned to a dark gray color. The straps show no fraying and include the gray velvet on the reverse in EXC++/NM condition. The large clip at the top is marked “DRGM”, “U.E. 10” and “RZM. The lower clips are marked “DRGM”.
