E & F Horster trademark. The plated, double-fullered, double-etched, blade is in EXC++ condition, retains 100% of the light gray background frosting in the fouled anchor and sailing ship etched motif, has minor plate lifting near the tip of the reverse side, no chips or nicks to cutting edge and with tip remaining intact. Complete with buffer pad. The gilded brass hilt fittings show light surface wear/age and has the 1929 “flaming ball” pommel and the fouled anchor design crossguard. Off white celluloid-over-wood grip shows light surface wear, but no cracks or chips and is tightly wired. Dent-free, gilted brass pebbled scabbard shows light surface wear and has the oak leaf suspension bands and eyelets that show excellent detail. Dagger is complete with a heavily patinaed silver bullion portepee tied in the “reef” knot.
