Description
Gold tone cord with red and black flecks. When put under black light the cord appears to be original. The acorn is also gold tone with red, black and gold threading in bottom of acorn. Upon examining the portepee under a black light, it was discovered that some of the threads in the acorn dot failed the black light test; however, as experienced collectors are aware, fluorescent type threads of this type were used prior to/during WWII, and this type of test is not 100% fool-proof.
