No maker but, ricasso is stamped with Roman numeral “1”. Gilded aluminum hilt fittings show service wear/age patina to highlights with 80% of the factory gilding remaining to the lion head pommel with red glass eyes, floral motif back-strap and knuckle-bow with raised design of oak leaves. Crossguard with laurel leaves and shield reverse langet, crossed cannons to obverse and hunting dog head quillon. Dark brown celluloid grip shows no wear with no cracks or chips and is complete with single wire wrap. Plated plain blade grades near MINT showing no age speckling, pitting or nicks to cutting edge. Black scabbard retains 98% + original paint. Officer pattern sword knot grades EX+ showing only light age patina to the bullion stripes in the leather strap and to the stem and acorn. EX+
