Description
SMF, SOLINGEN with seated king holding sword TM and D.R.G.M. 9 ¼ inch miniature shows light age/wear to aluminum fittings and is complete with undamaged, medium orange grip with silver twisted wire. Crossguard is loose fitting. Blade shows light runner marks but, no nicks or cuts to cutting edge and grades EX++/near MINT. Etched to center spine of blade is an advertisement for a construction company which specializes in large construction projects: “TIEFBAU – UNTERNEHMUNG HERMANN KIRCHNER”. Scabbard shows minor age/wear but, no dents or depressions but, does show light surface rust. As this dagger was directly purchased from the son of a WWII veteran, included with the miniature are two pictures of the veteran, his original discharge certificate and a copy of his service record EX+/EX++.
