Description
ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN with squirrel holding sword TM. Uncleaned hilt fittings show patina and age throughout but, no nicks or damage. Reverse crossguard has crudely engraved: “Dr Schiefer”. Veterinar SS – Ustf. Hans Schiefer was assigned to the staff of SS – Kavallerie – Regiment 1. (SS – Kav. Rgt.1) or as the adjutant of the 30th Medical Battalion in 1939. Amber style grip shows light surface wear and a minor hair-line crack to reverse and cracked ferrule insert portion that is not visible externally. Blade grades Near MINT with light surface wear and runner marks and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad present. Uncleaned scabbard shows lights wear but, no depressions and no damage. Dagger is complete with MINT portepee.
