Unmarked. Heavy marble plaque measuring 8”x10” features a well-detailed silver SS eagle and etched silver panel which reads: “Das Offizier Korps / der / Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler / am / Geburstag des Fuhrers / 20.4.39”; this translates to: “The Officer Corps of “Leibstandarte” SS Adolf Hitler on the Birthday of the Fuhrer, April 20, 1939”. This plaque was likely presented to Hitler on his birthday from his personal bodyguard regiment. Silver fixtures show much age patina, with some light wear to etched panel likely from polishing. Marble shows some wear and water spots, with a chip to the lower left corner. A very unique and rare item for the Third Reich militaria collector!
