Description
No maker TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear with rampant lion and Bavarian shield langet. Black celluloid grip shows light surface wear with no cracks or chips. Straight, plated, etched blade grades EX++ showing light surface wear but, no nicks. Obverse blade features two line dedication, “6 Chevauleger Regiment Prinz Albrecht von Preussen” (6th Heavy Cavalry Regiment Prince Albrecht of Prussia). Reverse blade feature 4 ¾” long etched panels with floral design and raised inscription, “In Treue Fest” (Steadfast with Loyalty) and complete with white felt blade buffer pad. Edge of blade has “Weyersberg & Co. – Solingen”. Steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the period black enamel showing light surface nicks/crazing. Scabbard eyelet and ring are attached directly to the scabbard shell as was customary for the Bavarian swords. EX+/EX++.
