Description
H&M circled by Herbertz & Meurer – Solingen trademark. It rates 8 out of 10 on McSarr’s SA rarity rating. The blade grades an Exc with graying/speckling throughout, some nicks to cutting edge, and motto retains 90% of its’ frosting. The hilt fittings are nickel silver and show normal age/wear. The lower crossguard reverse has the “He” marking for Hessen. The brown grip has a couple chips on the obverse side; one near the upper crossguard and one near the lower crossguard. The nickel silver eagle insert and SA roundel are both properly set. Anodized scabbard is missing the majority of its paint but is dent free. The scabbard fittings show wear with scratches on the lower fitting and a couple minor dents in the ball. All four scabbard screws remain in place. The hanger is RZM marked L2/338/141 on the reverse side as well as the clip is also RZM marked M5/74 olc.
