Description
An extremely rare 1930-40 WWII Latvian dagger with Carl Eickhorn Waffenfabrik Solingen TM on obverse ricasso and engraved eagle on reverse ricasso. It is thought that these daggers were given to leaders of the nationalist corps. Dagger is in EXC++ condition. Blade has graying on both sides, remains unsharpened, has 2 narrow dual fullers on both sides of blade, and tip of blade remains intact. The steel hilt fittings and grip have the usual markings as the Latvian Dirk. The grip shows light wear but no chips. The steel-based scabbard also carries the same design as the Latvian Dirk, is dent free and has scabbard o-rings.
