No maker. Retailer marked MOHR & SPEYER, BERLIN. Uncleaned, heavily chiseled, hilt fittings showing heavy patination to lion head pommel, art deco embellished spine, and knuckle-bow. The crossguard “D” pattern clamshell features a resting lion inside a floral and oak leaf border on the center obverse. Genuine mother-of-pearl grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips with a gold oval and a raised Royal Bavarian crown. Delicate, straight, double-edged blade grades EX+ with surface runner marks on the obverse/reverse and gray speckling, but no lifting or nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with original red felt blade buffer pad. Obverse side of blade features short etched panel with floral/banner design and “IN TREUE FEST” reverse panel features floral design with Bavarian crown. Delicate black leather scabbard shows surface wear and surface nicks to smooth leather, but no rips, tears, or damage to the reverse stitching. Dent-free, silver upper and lower scabbard fittings are complete and are secured without retaining staples. EX+.
